My Project

To watch a child's face light up or to hear his shout of excitement when witnessing something for the first time, is truly an honor each and every day.

I teach STEM at a Pre-K Center that caters to children from the ages of two years, nine months to five years old.

My students are from diverse backgrounds and many are English language learners. It is an incredible experience to be able to create opportunities for my students in which they can learn, explore and discover new skills, strategies and phenomenon.

I am fortunate to be the STEM teacher to children this age. For many of my students, I am their first introduction to the school experience. My goal is to create an environment where it is safe, exciting and fun to learn.

My STEM lessons focus on problem solving, brainstorming, exploring and experimenting, skills that every young learner will need as he or she grows and develops. We are learning about habitats. The Magna Tile sets focus on the Arctic, the Jungle and the Safari, and will provide a hands-on learning experience. Not only will I be able to introduce STEM concepts, but my students will be able to use the Magna Tiles to reinforce learning in an engaging way.
