I am a special education teacher in a Title I priority school . This means that there is very little funding; yet we have a high need for materials to support instruction . My students are faced with many challenges both in and out of the classroom . These challenges do not stop them from participating in class with a bright smile and an eagerness to learn something new.
I love how curious my students are about the world around them and how much they love school and learning!
My students are a diverse group of learners that bring a variety of cultures into a classroom . They all bring a unique personality and a strong desire for learning, In our class, we focus on a growth mindset, fostering positive relationship with our peers, and choosing kindness above everything else. This year brought upon some of the most difficult challenges, yet my students showed perseverance and remarkable achievement through the school year. The eagerness to learn is what keeps me motivated.
Literacy centers are the busiest time building during our literacy block ! Students complete different hand- on activities to engage their mind and body in learning how to read. These phonics centers are the perfect activities for little hands and minds. Having a wide variety of hands on activities will provide differentiation within our literacy centers so that each student's unique needs get met. These ready to go centers help our students to read.
These project will make a difference for my students because it will incorporate hands-on activities into our literacy centers.
The most important way students learn is through play. Help us use literacy learning centers.
