My Project

In my Pre-Kindergarten classroom at my elementary, many of my students learn best through hands-on, interactive experiences. Dramatic play gives children opportunities to practice communication, cooperation, problem-solving, self-regulation, and real-world life skills in meaningful ways.

Through pretend play, students learn how to take turns, share ideas, ask questions, solve problems, and express themselves with confidence.

A classroom dramatic play center will allow my students to practice everyday routines such as cooking, grocery shopping, caring for babies, organizing materials, and working together with peers.

A classroom play kitchen and related materials will help my students strengthen vocabulary, social-emotional skills, fine motor development, early math concepts, and independent thinking; all while learning through joyful play.

For many of my students with developmental, communication, and social-emotional needs, these experiences create opportunities for authentic learning that cannot always be taught through worksheets alone.

Your generosity will help create a safe, engaging environment where imagination becomes learning, and every child has the opportunity to grow socially, emotionally, and academically.
