Little Learners, BIG Futures: Bringing Technology to Kindergarten

My Project

My kindergarten students at L. A. Elementary School are curious, creative, and eager to explore the world around them. They come from a wonderfully diverse community and bring unique backgrounds, strengths, and learning needs into our classroom. What makes them truly special is their excitement for learning and their determination to grow. For some students, school is their most consistent opportunity to access educational technology, and I want every child to have the tools needed to become a confident 21st-century learner.

These six Amazon Fire tablets will turn small-group learning into an engaging, personalized experience for every student.

During literacy and math centers, students will use the tablets to strengthen phonics, letter recognition, beginning reading, number sense, and problem-solving skills through interactive educational programs. The devices will allow me to differentiate instruction by providing extra support to students who need more practice and enrichment to students who are ready for an additional challenge. With six tablets, an entire small group can learn at the same time while developing independence, collaboration, and essential digital-literacy skills.

My goal is to create an equitable technology station where every student can practice important skills, receive immediate feedback, and experience success at their own level. These tablets will be much more than screens, they will become tools for exploring, creating, communicating, and building confidence. By supporting this project, donors will help my students understand that technology is not only for entertainment; it is a powerful pathway to learning. Your generosity will give my little learners greater access, meaningful opportunities, and the foundation they need to build bright futures.
