My Project

My PreK, kindergarten, and first-grade students are curious, energetic learners who love to explore how things work. They learn best through movement, hands-on activities, collaboration, and play. I love seeing their excitement when they discover that technology is not just something they use—it is something they can control, create with, and learn from.

The **Bee-Bot six-pack** will give my students a fun, developmentally appropriate introduction to coding and computational thinking.

Working in small groups, students will practice sequencing, directionality, problem-solving, collaboration, and perseverance as they program the robots to move through different challenges.

The included **command cards** will help students plan their coding sequences before entering them into the Bee-Bots. Students will learn directional vocabulary such as forward, backward, left, and right while also beginning to understand algorithms and debugging.

The **activity mat** will provide a visual, structured space for coding challenges. Students can program Bee-Bots to travel to letters, numbers, shapes, sight words, animals, community helpers, and other destinations connected to classroom learning.

The **charging and storage station** will keep all six robots organized, charged, and ready for use.

Most importantly, these resources will help my youngest students become **creators and problem-solvers rather than passive consumers of technology**. They will learn that mistakes are part of learning and that even our youngest students can begin thinking like computer scientists.
