My Students

My students are a group of diverse learners. They are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on activities, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions!

Our students love to learn and each need different things to learn in his or her own way.

Ninety-five percent of my students receive free or reduced-priced lunches. Some of our students receive a food backpack each weekend. Every day my students learn more and more. I want to give them what they need to be successful

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best varies greatly. I incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student’s needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I want them to be successful in the future.

I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year. I want to challenge them to be the best they can be!

My Project

The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door!

Students will be able to work in small groups during small group instruction and free choice play to explore the STREAM concepts of critical thinking, problem solving, hand-eye coordination and functional grasps, and open-ended discovery with problem solving and many more.

These resources will allow my students to experience a variety of hands-on learning concepts through math and science.

The light table will add another experience for all my students to enjoy within the classroom. On the light table, my students will be able to show their projects that they are building, using transparent building materials. They will also be able to use sand and work on spelling words, sight words and use their imagination for building anything their mind will allow. The Interlox clips are small building squares that will allow my students the ability to create endless arrays of creative constructions. They will be able to use these items on the light table to project the many colors. With the nuts and bolts, my students will be able to use both fine-motor and STREAM-based learning. To help ensure that my students have skills to access real world, hands-on problem solving and experiences, these resources will allow them that very thing.

By allowing my students to learn through manipulating materials, they are using creativity and problem-solving skills in diverse ways and gaining many new and exciting experiences.
