Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Teaching Pre-K has shown me just how powerful small moments of joy can be for young learners. My students arrive each day full of curiosity, excitement, and a desire to learn, even when the world around them feels uncertain. As their teacher, I strive not only to build their academic foundation, but also to nurture their emotional well-being and help them feel safe, loved, and celebrated.

This holiday season, I hope to send each of my students home with a small gift: a coloring book and a toy they can enjoy during the break.

These gifts may seem small, but to little ones, they mean the world. Coloring supports early fine-motor development, creativity, and confidence, while a special toy brings comfort and joy during a time when many families are facing challenges. I want every child in my classroom to feel seen and valued as they head into the holidays.

Your support will help me put smiles on their tiny faces and brighten a season that can be especially difficult for young children. With your generosity, my students will not only have a fun and meaningful gift to take home, but a reminder that there are people who care about them and believe in their potential.
