This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a special education teacher, I follow a curriculum that includes transitional skills. Many of the transitional lessons are based on the preparation of small meals and snacks. These lessons prepare my students with functional skills and create independence for them. Having the proper materials for these lessons is essential. The microwave and blender will be used to cook small meals and snacks. Students will follow various recipes provided by their curriculum. They will use the microwave and blender to prep food. Once cooked they will eat the foods and rate the recipe.
