This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This a selection of very complex, thought provoking literary texts are also extremely engaging, so students will be more inclined to select more challenging books for their independent reading time.

My students are becoming true lovers of reading and the next step is to push them to select more challenging texts.

Having a mixture of complex novels like Murakami's Dance, Dance, Dance and Power by Linda Hogan as well as collections of poetry like Petals of the Moon and I saw you as a Flower will help to expose students to beautiful works of literature which will challenge and inspire them.
