My Project

Our hard working middle school scholars have embraced project based learning and arts integration. The sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students and our families are very aware of their reading levels with the majority of students three or four grade levels below.

Students want to know how to read and comprehend!

The materials will aid the students with improving their oral fluency and comprehension skills via readers theater. The students have been revising scripts, learning the technical aspects of theater and embracing arts integration to be better literate human beings to better serve in their community.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
