Literacy Storage for First Graders!

Help me give my students alternatives to cramped storage by offering perfect storage for every reader, workbook and independent work.

My Project

My first-grade room is a self-contained classroom. I teach literacy, math, social studies, and science. We are storage poor, and our youngest students are having a hard time keeping up with the numerous books and workbooks they use during the day. We need to be able to access materials fast and efficiently to cut down on wasted transition times.

With these items, early education scholars will have more autonomy to keep their workbooks and reading materials in their own cubby and alleviate messy desk table tops.

This proposal for literacy storage will give students room to organize ten books in their individual book cubbies! The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will help me scaffold individual work for all students.

Our personal whiteboards used for spelling, vocabulary and math. are many years old and scarred, Students will get new personal whiteboards, pens, and erasers, and clear plastic holders, and tracing paper for letter writing.

All curriculum and sub plans must be on our front door. Our school is just very old, and the file holders are broken. Having new plastic holders, along with the tape to secure them, along with a new paint job on the old door will show off our entrance.
