My Project

I have 22 blossoming readers and writers in my class. My students work at literacy stations daily to improve their literacy skills. Students visit a variety of stations each day, including technology, reading with a friend, work on phonics, word work, oral language and writing.

Literacy stations allow students to work independently on tasks specific to what they need, and instill students with confidence as they master these skills!

These hands-on materials will help provide students with fun and engaging activities to do on their level. My students are all about taking charge of their own learning at stations, where they work hard to learn new skills.

Your donation will greatly impact our classroom! Students will excitedly utilize these materials daily. Students will use headphones at our technology station as they listen to stories they love and complete literacy tasks.

Materials such as the alphabet stamps, sorting boards, Splash! Reading Readiness games, and giant alphabet beads will support students who need practice with foundational skills such as letters and sounds. These activities will be utilized by students who are ready for more advanced activities such as word building and decoding.

Ms. Fredrickson will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by June 9.
