My Students
My students entered kindergarten with different skills and abilities. Some students were beginning to read words, while others entered knowing a few letter names. My challenge is to differentiate instruction and provide my students with the materials they need to succeed.
I am blessed to teach twenty-one sweet and lovable children!
I teach at a small, public school in Hawaii in an all day kindergarten inclusion classroom. My students are between the ages of five and six. In my classroom, we love learning at our literacy stations!
My Project
I am requesting resources from an innovative website called Teachers Pay Teachers. This website is filled with amazing learning resources that have been created by teachers and used by REAL students. The materials in this project will provide my students with differentiated language arts activities and worksheets to meet their diverse learning needs. These materials will help students read sight words, 3-letter words, sentences, and so on! The materials are also aligned to our current language arts curriculum, Wonders, as well as the Common Core State Standards. My students enjoy learning and "exercising their brains" at their literacy stations, and these resources will help to continue and foster that love. My students also need a new pencil sharpener and dry-erase markers.
