My Project

We are holding a school literacy night at the beginning of next school year and these items would help complete the packets we want to send home with our Kindergarten students at the end of the night. That night each Kindergarten student will learn literacy games throughout the night and at the end take home the materials they will need to continue practicing these literacy skills at home with their friends and family.

To master letter names and sounds a student needs to constantly practice and these materials will give each student in Kindergarten the knowledge, power, and knowledge they need to continue practicing and mastering their letter names and sounds at home.

At our literacy night all Kindergarten students will each receive a punch card and will get a punch in their card each time they visit a literacy station. There will be five different literacy stations with activities such as roll the dice to practice reading sight words, they get to practice phoneme segmentation with the pop it bracelets, and practice letter names and sounds with alphabet letters. The playdoh will help them learn the shape of each letter and the guided reading strips will help them as they read sight words and phrases.

Mrs. Wasson will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by July 28.
