My Students

My students are wonderful, energetic 4 and 5 year olds! They are excited to be at school everyday. While they love to play, they need more of a variety of activities to help them learn necessary skills before kindergarten.

They also come from high poverty, working families.

Their families do not have the resources to purchase items for them to learn the skills they will learn at school.

We want to provide them with these activities at school! I hope you will help me by donating to these deserving children!

My Project

My students love when I read to them and reading on their own. However, outside of read aloud times, this gives children the opportunity to be read to in an exciting, engaging way. This is very important! Having a listening center, not only gives them an opportunity to engage in books more often, but CDs add sounds and voice that make stories come alive!

NEW technology, in the form of Bluetooth, will allow us to also use the internet to find more stories, saving money purchasing books.

The head phones also give a social aspect to reading which is a part of reading throughout their school career.
