This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a Kindergarten Dual Language teacher in the Bronx, New York. This public school provides an education to students of many different ethnicities. The school educates over 1200 students grades K-5 and the majority of students receive free lunch. We have have a diverse classroom with students with diverse abilities.

My students have bold personalities and diverse cultural backgrounds.

Each student brings something special to the classroom. They are all on different levels academically and socially. However they all find ways of expressing themselves to others...whether verbally, non verbally or creatively.

My Project

We are in need of some literacy games that will help us reinforce our literacy skills. Students learn in different ways and hands on activities really helps many students. Having games that involve their sensory skills draws their attention and interest more.

Literacy games bring literacy skills to life in a fun way.

Students will enjoy playing the games and it will draw more interest into their learning. It is a great way to support students who need extra support and attention. Our little minds need different fun ways to continue learning and these games will be an interactive way of providing those skills for them.
