My Students

The students we have in our kindergarten classes are full of love, passion for learning and are so creative. They are so very full of life and are eager to ask many questions, explore and learn in any way possible.

Our school has 300 children who come from a wide variety of home lives.

Some people may think that since our school population is 100% free breakfast and lunch, we may be struggling or that the family or children are, but together we fight this stigma and work to improve and grow each child to their fullest potential.

This is so easily done, because no matter what, my kindergartens want to come to school each day to share in the rigorous work we do. These sweet students want to learn so many things, even if we don't always have all the resources.

My Project

This project is to build comfort and love into my room with additional comfortable seating for reading and adventure. I have always wanted to add comfort into my reading nook but also flexibility so the children can feel special and at home while reading or working on other activities. Another wish I have always had was to provide stronger at home help and encouragement and by providing students with these at home backpacks students will be able to share their learning more productively at home. This should bring fun and excitement and rigorous practice for these children with their families. Lastly, I have included some hands-on artsy items to offer more creativity throughout my days with students and I cannot wait to build these things into my future lessons.
