This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
"I wanna do some work!!" Is something I hear from my students everyday when they walk into our classroom. My students have a deep love for learning that will only continue to grow throughout their first grade year.
Our classroom motto is "gentle, generous, truthful, kind, and brave," and they aspire to fulfill these tenants everyday.
Of these goals, my students exemplify being brave in and out of the classroom by always wanting to go a step further and aiming to educate themselves and others about how to make the world a better place.
My Project
Learning centers are an exciting way to get students engaged in and excited about learning. By providing creative and experiential outlets for learning about math facts and reading, students are more engaged, thus learning the content faster and understanding the concepts on a deeper level.
By having engaging centers with tablets, magnetic manipulative, and stamps students are experiencing numbers and letters in a whole new way helping them access the higher level problems and prompts they are being exposed to while reinforcing knowledge and getting them excited about these new concepts.
My goal is to see growth in each of my students centers are a great way to get started!
