I cannot thank you enough for the impact your donations have had on our daily learning environment.\r\n\r\nThe headphones have quickly become one of the most important tools in our classroom. My students use them during benchmark assessments and progress monitoring to help them stay focused and reduce distractions. Having access to headphones helps them concentrate and demonstrate what they truly know academically. During earned free time, the students absolutely LOVE using the headphones while exploring PBS Kids activities and educational games. It has become one of their favorite rewards and helps make learning fun and exciting.\r\n\r\nThe noise-canceling headphones have also made a huge difference during assemblies and field trips. Many of my students can become overwhelmed by loud noises and crowded environments, so having the headphones available helps them stay calm, regulated, and comfortable in situations that may otherwise feel stressful.\r\n\r\nYour donations of Lysol wipes and tissues have also helped tremendously during flu season and allergy season. The students have learned the importance of keeping their areas clean, and these supplies have helped us maintain a healthier classroom environment for everyone.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting additions for my students has been the fish tank. Although we have not set it up yet because our school is preparing to move into a new building, the students talk about it constantly and are eagerly looking forward to helping care for the fish in our new classroom space. It has already created excitement, anticipation, and opportunities for responsibility and classroom community.\r\n\r\nAnother student favorite is the canopy area. My students love having a safe, calming place where they can rest and regroup whenever they begin to feel overwhelmed. Having a comforting, sensory-friendly space has been incredibly meaningful to them and has helped support their emotional regulation throughout the school day.\r\n\r\nYour kindness and support have provided my students with resources that meet not only their academic needs, but also their emotional and sensory needs. Thank you for believing in my students and investing in their success. Your generosity is truly making a lasting impact in our classroom every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1769721777018,"projectUrl":"project/creating-a-calm-connected-and-engaging/9951035/","projectTitle":"Creating a Calm, Connected, and Engaging Learning Environment","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Baker","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9200758_orig.jpg?crop=1003,1003,x489,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1765232960710","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9200758"},{"teacherId":10115743,"projectId":10004620,"letterContent":"In our classroom, reading looks like a community experience where students are actively engaged in thinking, discussing, and connecting with the text. As a class, we are currently reading Bud, Not Buddy, and students have truly connected with Bud's journey. Students are practicing important reading skills such as identifying character traits, making predictions, understanding theme, and using context clues to deepen their comprehension. We also focus on citing text evidence to support their thinking and responses during discussions and writing activities.\r\nThe novel has also opened the door for meaningful conversations about perseverance, family, and the historical time period of the story. Students participate in partner discussions, read-alouds, and small group conversations that encourage them to think critically and share their ideas confidently. Many students especially enjoy the humor and adventure throughout the book, which keeps them excited and eager to read the next chapter. Some of my quieter students have become more willing to participate because they relate to Bud's feelings and determination.\r\nThank you so much for your generosity and support of our classroom. Your kindness helps provide meaningful learning experiences and allows our students to build a stronger love for reading every day.","fullyFundedDate":1769188005511,"projectUrl":"project/bringing-stories-to-life-through-a-class/10004620/","projectTitle":"Bringing Stories to Life Through a Classroom Novel Study","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Banks","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10115743_orig.jpg?crop=240,240,x0,y44&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1767839502694","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10115743"},{"teacherId":7571596,"projectId":10084899,"letterContent":"I would like again thank you for your contribution to this classroom! We have thoroughly enjoyed reading our novel study. It is amazing as a teacher to see their minds think deeply about characters, plot and lessons from a book. Character analysis, dissecting author's purpose, vocabulary have been some of the skills we have used most. We have spent time with group reading and independent reading and I can confidently say that the class loves to read books that interest them. With the new headphones with microphones, students are now able to independently record themselves reading aloud using our fluency platform. This has been a game changer because students can listen back to their own reading, build awareness of their pace and expression, and track their growth over time. It has also created a more focused and supportive testing environment, allowing each student to work at their own level without distractions.\r\n\r\nMy students have been especially excited about using the recording technology. Many of them look forward to fluency practice now because it feels interactive and personal. I've seen students who were once hesitant to read aloud gain confidence as they practice privately and hear their own improvement. In addition, the whiteboards have increased engagement during lessons, giving every student a chance to actively participate and show their thinking in real time.\r\n\r\nThe copy paper and anchor chart paper have helped us stay organized and reinforce learning visually. We've been able to create meaningful anchor charts together that students refer back to daily, strengthening their understanding and independence. Your support has truly helped create a more engaging, effective, and student-centered learning environment.
