My Project
My students are the best! They are incredibly hardworking, resilient, caring and kind children. Our students come from very diverse backgrounds and learn so much from each other. Our school provides free breakfast and lunch as well as essential supplies for school. These students truly are the most fun-loving, hard-working groups of students. They are so eager to learn and love being at school!
I carefully chose beginning reading materials that I know will help my ELs learn to read.
My project includes sets of fiction and nonfiction books that are colorful, engaging, and appropriate for my beginning readers. My goal for this project is to get books in their little hands and create a love for reading! In addition to books, I also added vocabulary cards that will help build their everyday language. I have one set of the flashcards and the kids use them frequently to help them with speaking and writing activities. These visual cards are extremely helpful for my ELs and we would love the full set!
