My eighth grade mathematics classroom consists of 80 students. Each of these students will demonstrate on the first day of school their eagerness to learn. Some of them come from single-parent homes, and others are being raised by other family members. My class is a multicultural class, meaning that various nationalities are represented.
As stated previously I will service 80 students from various backgrounds, including one student from Africa, eight students of Hispanic background, and one student from China.
In an effort to provide all students the best possible learning experience, they will be taught in some instances in a different language.
As students learn mathematics, many learn at different phases. As a result, these headphones would allow students to utilize educational interactive sites to broaden their understanding of various mathematical concepts.
My students you various educational websites which provide live speaking videos to direct them through learning and assessment of skills.
Khan Academy, Learnzillion, Quizlet and other sites are just a view, as they work at their pace each student receives that deepened understanding at his/ her pace. As I educate students from various ethnicities, some have to hear lessons in their given language. These headphones would advance learning in our classroom.
