Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are hardworking and eager change-makers. Their resilience in the face of life's difficulties is admirable, and on the toughest days, they show up.

Many of my students are English Learners and to maximize their learning, they need to access content by listening to learn.

When my students have full access to attend to learning, they have the ability to engage with literature to deeply understand human nature, different experiences, and lives in complex and thoughtful ways.

My Project

All of my students come to school with a variety of supports necessary to enhance their learning. My goal on a daily basis is to create a learning experience that is universal and allows for all students to have access to resources that they can choose to use or not.

I want all of my students to be able to engage with the learning.

This is why headphones are extremely important resources needed in my classroom. My students know that if there's any resource they need to allow them to deeply engage with the content or to simply make sense of their learning, they are welcome to utilize it.
