This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The Tattle Phone Project is designed to provide kindergarten students with a creative and supportive tool to enhance their social-emotional learning and communication skills. This project gives young learners a safe, non-disruptive outlet to express their concerns, practice self-regulation, and reflect on their emotions.

By encouraging students to "call" the Tattle Phone instead of immediately interrupting classroom activities, they gain valuable opportunities to process their feelings, differentiate between minor and serious issues, and develop independent conflict-resolution skills.

Through this initiative, students will:

Feel Heard and Valued: The Tattle Phone offers a dedicated space for students to voice their concerns, fostering a sense of importance and belonging.

Strengthen Emotional Awareness: Supporting materials, such as emotion cards and mindfulness tools, help children identify and articulate their feelings more effectively.

Build Problem-Solving Skills: Guided resources and role-playing activities teach students how to resolve minor conflicts independently, promoting empowerment and resilience.

Enhance Classroom Harmony: By reducing classroom interruptions, the Tattle Phone helps create a calmer, more focused learning environment.

Ultimately, this project not only improves behavior management but also nurtures essential life skills, ensuring students are better equipped for personal and social success both in the classroom and beyond.
