Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

We are a Title I school surrounded by a warm and caring community. Our students come from a variety of different economic and cultural backgrounds, with over ninety percent receiving free or reduced-price lunch.

I call my students my eager-beaver learners.

They love to be challenged and love learning new things. They proudly wear our school slogan Believe, Achieve, Succeed as an inspiration to all students. Each year, my students collect food and toys during the holidays to make sure that every kid has a memorable holiday season.

My Project

My students and their siblings are home during remote learning.

The noise from the other computers makes it impossible for my students to concentrate on the lessons being taught.

I am requesting headphones for my students so they can hear and understand the instructions clearly. The headphones are manufactured by a company that specializes in high quality products. The headphones are long lasting and do not break apart if they are dropped on the floor. Noise will not be a problem; with these headphones, when sitting near another sibling they will not hear the sound coming from the headphones. I am also requesting pom poms for hands-on projects that students complete at home. This is just what my students need.
