Listening Center for Kindergarten

My Project

My students absolutely love listening to read aloud stories. In our community, students do not always have books at home and I often have young learners who have had very little exposure to literacy at home.

Many of my kids first experience a rich vocabulary and engaging text when they are in Kindergarten.

These TonieBoxes will allow my students to continue to listen to read-alouds during their independent work time. These will help my students develop the very important foundational reading skill of listening comprehension, which ultimately will help them with their reading comprehension. My students will be able to feel a sense of independence in their learning, while building their vocabulary.
