Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Kindergarten is such a special grade, it is some students for introduction to school and classroom learning. I want to make their first year of elementary amazing and set up their foundation for being lifelong learners. In order to do this I must keep learning fun and engaging.

I work at a Title one school in Texas were most of the students are on our free/reduced lunch plan.

Many students face hardships and still come to school with a smile on their face, ready to learn.

My Project

Some students have never gotten to experience the joy of being read aloud too. With this center I plan to change that. Of course I will read aloud to my students in class, but this center is a great tool in teaching students to work independently, while I get to work in small groups or one-on-one. Studies show reading aloud to young children is not only one of the best activities to stimulate language and cognitive skills; it also builds motivation, curiosity, and memory. Bardige, B.
