Some students have never gotten to experience the joy of being read aloud too. With this center I plan to change that. Of course I will read aloud to my students in class, but this center is a great tool in teaching students to work independently, while I get to work in small groups or one-on-one. Studies show reading aloud to young children is not only one of the best activities to stimulate language and cognitive skills; it also builds motivation, curiosity, and memory. Bardige, B. Talk to Me, Baby!(2009), Paul H Brookes Pub Co. With your help I will be able to foster a love for reading in my kindergarten class.
