Listening Center for 1st Grade Readers!

Help me give my students activities to use while I am working with small groups. My children will be able to use C.D.’s and books to read along with the disc.

My Students

This will be my third year teaching first grade. My school is in a rural area. We are a Title I school. My class is a made up of several special needs students who are full inclusion.

Over 1/2 of my students come from a lower economic situation.

I want my students to have opportunities to learn to the best of their ability. Your donation is greatly appreciated.

My Project

I would like for my children to have access for up to 8 students to use a listening center to follow along as a book is read to them. Afterwards they can partner read the book together. Next, they can Turn & Talk to discuss main parts of the book. Whether it be character, setting, main idea, or supporting details, children learn better when they hear a story more than one time. What better way to learn, than to have a story read to you, then read it together, and then read it independently. Thank you for donating to my little ones. Any amount is greatly appreciated!
