My students learned about so many different animals and how they relate to one another in a food web. We researched turtles, water striders, bass, herons, beavers, snails, and dragonflies. As they conducted pond water observations with the microscopes, they were able to identify and draw various microorganisms like Paramecium, Rotifers, and Volvox. My students were ecstatic to discover a world beyond what their eyes could see! Throughout the project we monitored and tested the pond water. We created crafts, read books, and watched videos to expand our knowledge. In our dramatic play center, students were able to build their own pretend pond and fish for sight words.\r\n Your donation made incredible, exciting learning possible. Our pond project covered reading, writing, science, and math. These children built extensive background knowledge they will use for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1755315487187,"projectUrl":"project/pond-habits-through-hands-on-learning/9475047/","projectTitle":"Pond Habits through Hands-On Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Myers","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10082996_orig.jpg?crop=1193,1193,x0,y59&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753793521732","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10082996"},{"teacherId":7919449,"projectId":9200558,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting such a meaningful impact on my students and classroom.
