Students love attending Physical Education classes and do not always realize they are becoming more physically fit. They look at PE as play time. While they are "playing," we are teaching them many different things. Over the course of a school year, we teach numerous standards and skills. One of the skills we teach is basketball. In order to best teach our students the foundations of basketball, we are in need of some new basketballs and a mesh bag. These basketballs will be used with all students in grades K-4th. They will be greatly loved and used. The game of basketball also teaches other life skills such as cooperation, team sportsmanship, how to handle winning and losing, and sharing.
