My Students

My students are from a very small rural area of North Carolina. They attend a k-8 school and have little exposure to the 'outside' world. Many of our students are from broken homes and low-income families. My drive is to expose them to 21st century technology and help them be prepared when entering colleges and the workforce.

Each student having their own headset will allow for more differentiated learning with technology in my classroom because each student will be able to listen and work on individual lessons at their own pace.

Our school has very dated textbooks, so we strive to incorporate digital learning any way possible.

My Project

By providing each student with their own set of headphones, we will be able to fully utilize the technology that we already have as well as the any new technology that comes our way. My students will be able to listen to individual lessons on the computer without being disturbed or disturbing others. With these headphones we will also be able to record for projects such as movie makers, assignments in google classroom and more!

Students will be able to work at their own pace on projects and assignments.

Being able to differentiate work for students is very important in 21st-century learning.
