The books are a wonderful addition to complete the whole set. Our Media Center has become infested with learning all about bugs. \r\n\r\nYour generous ways have truly been a blessing to our school's Media Center and the students that enter within its doors. I am so grateful for donors like you who give without wanting anything in return, except for maybe to hear how truly wonderful their gifts have impacted the students. \r\n\r\nHere at our school, we have a student population from preschool through eight grade. All of them have benefited tremendously from your selfless gifts. Our preschoolers cannot contain their joy when I break out the \"bug cubes\" as they call them. Kindergarten loves to look at all of the different creatures under the magnifying glasses. Our first graders like to sort the bugs into categories only to have the second graders come in and reorganize them according to what they deem as correct. All the way up through the ranks, the students really enjoy looking at a bug \"that isn't going to get away from them,\" as one of my fourth graders said. Even the middle schoolers have had fun exploring the bugs. Great conversations have come out of these cubed bugs- who has seen one like this one or who has stomped on one like that one or look how pretty this one is...and the list goes on. \r\n\r\nThank you again for all of your giving ways that have already brought so much joy into our Media Center. Who would have thought bugs could bring so many smiles into the Media Center? Not me. But I'm so glad they have, and I'm even more glad you decided to generously give these to our Media Center and to our students. Thank you, thank you, thank you.","fullyFundedDate":1765217464426,"projectUrl":"project/bugs-in-the-media-center-oh-my/9880917/","projectTitle":"Bugs in the Media Center, Oh my!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. G","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9324496"},{"teacherId":9324496,"projectId":9698979,"letterContent":"Thank you so very much for your generosity and your willingness to give to our Media Center so our students can have a more hands-on learning environment. Your gifts of a microscope and magnetic tiles (among other items) have been huge items that the students have longed to use and have in their own hands to operate. Your selfless ways have provided just that.\r\n\r\nOur students have been really enjoying looking through the microscope to see things on a slide up close. The little ones couldn't believe that this was even a possibility. Their shouts of joy and statements of wonder and amazement are so refreshing to hear. And it is all because of you! \r\n\r\nWe will also continue to pull out the magnetic tiles for our centers on Fridays. The students are allowed to rotate between centers made up of learning toys that also help develop their minds in areas technology doesn't. I see them create buildings or ships or modes of transportation they read about or saw in a video game. It is such a relief to see them get so much happiness and expressing their creativity with the magnetic tiles you have provided. \r\n\r\nI thank you once again for giving so much to our small, underserved school. You have made so many students in grades preschool all the way up through eight grade so excited to come to the Media Center so they can see the world around them in a different way and to show the world how creative they can be. Many of my students were struggling with learning math facts. Multiplication by Heart has been a game changer. Students can have their own box that helps them keep up with their progress. They have been excited to know that they can learn the multiplication facts.\r\n\r\nBy fifth grade, it is a huge frustration to not know multiplication facts. When our project materials arrived, I explained to my students how to use these materials and told them that they would have their own Multiplication by Heart box to help them keep up with their progress. They were so excited to see a product that actually helped them to understand multiplication.\r\n\r\nThis has been a game changer. Getting better with multiplication facts and moving on to mastery has helped my students to better learn fraction work...which is big in fifth grade. This will definitely set them up for success in middle school and beyond.","fullyFundedDate":1757537687060,"projectUrl":"project/firm-math-foundation/9510125/","projectTitle":"Firm Math Foundation","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Early","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp563407_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1692405804062","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/dearly"},{"teacherId":9324496,"projectId":9248216,"letterContent":"Thank you so very much for your generous donation of all of the bilingual books to our school's library. So many of them are learning new words every time they borrow these awesome books. \r\n\r\nSome of the small board books get used in the ESL room with our younger students in preschool and kindergarten. The students were beside themselves when they found out that they would get to have a tug-of- war competition and that we could use it in science class.
