My Students

I have 21 wonderful 5th graders. More than 1/3 of my students are on free or reduced price lunch. My school is a Title I school and many of my students receive some type of intervention. My classroom is a fun and welcoming community. We practice and implement a lot of Responsive Classroom in our room. I want them to have the tools needed in order to be successful. My students are hardworking and considerate of others. They strive to choose and spread kindness. My classroom is full of wonderful role models and individuals who are going to change the world.

My Project

My students have one-to-one devices. Because I work in a lower income school, many students were unable to buy their own headphones. We need 20 pairs of headphones for my students to use with their Chromebooks. These headphones will allow them to focus during testing, listen to videos and play educational games. The microphone will help my students' voices be amplified when they are presenting to their peers. It will also help me when I am teaching. I have a student who struggles with hearing the volume of things. This microphone will help me better teach him by making my voice louder.
