My Students

I have a great group of students this year. They were mid 1st grade when the pandemic shut Orlando down. They completed 2nd grade online and came back to school apprehensive about being Face-to-Face.

My mother often says, "Life offers constant challenges".

My students have adapted to being back in school Face-to-Face, surprisingly well. The first half of the 2021-22 school year has shown great growth, not only educationally, but emotionally. This growth has brought us new equipment challenges; challenges we could only have because so many of the students have made academic growth.

My Project

We have spent too much money on The Dollar Tree headphones. The are cheap and convenient, but they don't last very long. Our class has graduated to being able to work independently online once their class assignments are done.

Imagine my 18 students working on computers randomly throughout the day; concentrating is difficult.

Students often have to speak to the computer during an assignment. It is distracting for the other students sitting close by. If each student could have their own durable headphones, our classroom could transition without distractions.
