This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students spent all of last school year learning remotely. As we transition back into the classroom this year, I need to ensure that we have the proper tools necessary to learn as safely as possible.
Our school serves students in grades sixth through eighth and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers, and a safe learning environment.
Our school is comprised of 320 amazing students from an urban community. All of our students are recipients of the free breakfast and lunch program.
My Project
Many of my students have become masters of multitasking during their time with remote learning. I want to be able to give them their own headsets so that they can multitask better in the classroom.
When we use resources in class and they are working independently, I want them to be able to view the learning videos at their own pace.
Headsets will allow them to work at their own pace without disrupting the other learners in the classroom.
Giving students their own headsets will also cut down on sharing of items in the classroom. During this time, I prefer to not share items if we can avoid it.
