Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

In our 1:1 classroom, my learners regularly access research, books, and livestreams to enhance learning. On their iPads, they are developing critical research skills to independently gather information on various topics of interest, and for accessibility purposes, my learners can ask their iPads to read the text to them. They can also listen to reading through resources online, which continuously builds fluency and comprehension within texts of their scientific interests. My learners also access stream topics of interest such as unique exhibits at zoos across the country, virtual field trips to laboratories across the country, and interviews with leading scientists and explorers.

To continue to access these resources that are crucial for my learners' growth in STEM fields and in literacy, my learners each need a pair of these requested quality Kids headphones.

These individual headphones will make research, scientific information, and data easier for my first-grade budding scientists to access. Imagine a classroom with twenty-five students listening to twenty-five different videos about various topics all at the same time. It's a challenge! Help make it easier for my learners to access the material they need to grow and learn in a STEAM-based environment.
