My Students

Pascagoula is a small industrial town in Coastal Mississippi. My students are typically in grades 9-12 and learn anything from Mississippi History, World Geography, and even state tested U.S. History in my class.

My students are curious, savvy, and energetic.

They want what works best for them, and due to the large low-income population in our town, they don't always get it. Despite many challenges, my students work hard to learn and thrive in school. Each is unique and learns in his or her own way. I want to give them options to learn at the optimal level.

My Project

My students are lucky enough to have access to computers in my classroom. We have been able to utilize many applications and programs with this resource. However, some of these programs come with sound. Students need their own headphones in order to most effectively use the Chromebooks.

Although they may bring their own headphones, many of my students cannot afford such technology.

I would like to provide each student with headphones to use while in my classroom. They may then work on assignments and projects at their own pace. Many of my students come from humble homes, but they deserve to have the technology that will help them succeed in life.
