My students are never bored at school. Whether it's time for math or literacy, they are active- moving around to different stations, playing games, writing and reading, learning from a teacher, and their favorite: time on the computer to practice their spelling or math. Our problem: no headphones!
We used to have headphones provided by the school, but they all gave out over the past year.
Now students can't enjoy learning their spelling words or practicing their math, which is a big frustration. What used to be a preferred activity now simply causes problems.
My Project
I'm asking for seven headphones. With these new headphones, our computer station will be functioning again! Students engage with a spelling program, learning how to spell words at their own pace and level. Our students also self-direct their learning with a math program that is tailored to their specific needs- playing instructional videos and giving them practice games. These are only 15 minutes of their day each, but the students look forward to it, and love time on the computer. We can't use them effectively until we get these headphones! Right now, our students have to choose between disturbing others or not getting to access their learning programs.
Please give us a hand getting quality headphones for our classroom.
