My Project

The overarching goal of this project is to foster a transformative literacy experience within my special education classroom. By introducing these innovative headphones, we aim to empower students with the tools they need to unlock the world of reading.

These headphones will serve as a gateway to a vast library of books, enabling students to immerse themselves in captivating stories and expand their knowledge horizons.

The ability to listen to audiobooks will provide an alternative pathway to literacy acquisition, catering to diverse learning styles and preferences. Students who may struggle with traditional reading methods, due to dyslexia or basic reading disabilities, can now engage with literature in an accessible and enjoyable format.

Moreover, the headphones will promote independent learning and self-paced reading, allowing students to progress at their own unique pace. By providing equitable access to literacy resources, this project seeks to cultivate a lifelong love of reading in all students, empowering them with the essential skills they need to succeed in school and beyond. The goal of this project is to have a class set of 30 headphones to assist my high-needs learners.
