Students come to my classroom from all walks of life. Some have been given the opportunity to travel the world with their military families, and others have never left the town they live in. I teach special education students, English language learners, college prep students, and honors level students.
Our school is Title I & 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Some students can't afford to buy the necessary supplies for class, and some come to class everyday without something to write with. This year students have had to deal with larger class sizes, some reaching or exceeding 40 students. Even with these challenges our students are learning and excelling. I hope this project can help me help my students succeed.
These headphones will allow students to listen to flipped lectures in the classroom. My students do not all have access to internet at home and so creating a true flipped classroom is off the table for me. These headphones will give students a chance to listen to flipped lectures in the classroom, during class time, without the distractions of their peers or the other activities going on around them.
These will also allow my students to work through lectures at their own pace, as well as go back and review previous lectures, or those they missed while they were absent.
Students won't miss a day's content because they missed class.
