My Students

CES is located in Nampa, Idaho. Our school district is 100% Title One and we serve the highest percentage of economically disadvantaged students at over 90%.

We encourage active involvement in the community from our students and families.

Our school strives to maintain a positive environment where all students feel safe and valued. When school staff, families, and students are all on board with this goal we can help students thrive as successful members of society.

My first graders can benefit from coming to a school where they are free to make choices that are conducive to their individual learning styles.

My Project

Our students have a class set of iPads that they use every single day for a variety of activities. Although we are fortunate to have these, we only have one iPad for every two students. This means that not all students are working on them at once. We use our iPads for projects, intervention, small groups, and other independent work. While they are working there is often sound coming from the iPads. Students could benefit from these durable and higher quality headphones. Currently we have the option to go without or use extremely fragile headphones that often break after a few uses.

The headphones I am requesting will not only help them listen while they work and learn, but help keep the noise level down so others can work on different activities.

I hope to provide an additional support for my students to focus and learn all that they can. These headphones will help me provide additional activities where I know they have the ability to listen to read alouds or other materials.
