Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The children I work with are very active and are constantly investigating the world around them. My students are mainly Spanish speaking, so finding ways for them to learn through exploration has become my main goal this school year. Our school is located in Oklahoma in a high poverty area. I work with an amazing group of teachers who have a passion for helping this community.
I want my Pre-K students to come home from school every day, proud of what they have learned and eager to share with their families.
I am the proud teacher of 20 rowdy four and five-years-old children.
My Project
In my classroom I try to encourage my students to explore different aspects of learning. These could be hands on activities, independent learning, exploring through play, books, or technology. Lately I have noticed a lack in my listening center activities.
Early Childhood Education is what sets the foundation for learning, and when you have a firm foundation there is no limit to how high you can go!!
I am requesting a new iPad to load all of my audiobooks on as well as cases and screen protectors. I am also requesting new audiobooks to load onto the iPads for easy access. I believe with these activities I will better develop their love of books.
