My class is energetic, excited, and eager to learn. My classroom is made up of diverse learners with diverse learning needs. Our school has 100% free breakfast and lunch for our students and many of our students experience hardships at home. Just getting school supplies for the beginning of the year can sometimes be a challenge.
But, my students are optimistic, full of life, and look forward to seeing each other everyday.
I have found that technology is something that makes my students feel equal. No matter what ability level, they all feel successful when using technology and interacting socially with each other.
Technology has become an important aspect of teaching and learning, and I integrate technology into my reading class everyday. My students use many different educational resources to listen to fluent reading, and they practice fluent reading as well. I do not have enough earbuds/headphones for each student, and the ones I have are broken. They spend more time deciding who gets the headphones, and less time actually reading.
Earbuds would give the students more opportunities to listen to fluent reading!
If every student had a pair of headphones, they would take pride in learning to read. Not to mention, sharing headphones is a hygienic nightmare. Please help my students learn by providing them with the materials to facilitate learning.
