Help me give my students alternative educational building blocks, durable acrylic stacking blocks, Rustic play bowls and exciting play silks to draw them into open- ended play experiences!

My Project

Preschoolers are some of the most creative beings on the planet. Developmentally, they are just beginning to discover speech and interactive play and haven't yet been influenced by what we as adults know to be real and fantasy- and their play shows no bounds.

By providing them with materials that are equally limitless, I hope to extend and support this curiosity-filled stage of their lives.

I invite them to explore the concept of volume and pouring with the rustic bowls, gain knowledge of color mixing and the properties of light as they engage in play with the acrylic cubes, discover balance and cause and effect with the unconventional blocks, and transport into other worlds as they drape the play silks over their shoulders and fly off.

Additionally, engaging in play with these materials will foster an environment that welcomes social interactions among students that will help support social-emotional development in these young students.
