This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help us explore student imaginations! Do you remember the first time you used a camera? Help our students increase motivation when they use pictures for project based learning.

My students are in a second and third grade combination class in Los Angeles, California.

My students will benefit from using a camera as they learn to take pictures of people, places, and things to engage in projects creatively. Having a camera will definitely motivate & help them with the learning process!

My Project

My goal is to teach students to use the camera independently so they can work in projects where they can include pictures. For example, pictures of sequencing events, posters with pictures that build character and ultimately helping them create i-movies.

Please support this project I worked at a school where cameras were provided and students made i-movies that taught each other what they had learned!

I saw tremendous social and academic growth in my students. Motivation rocketed through the roof as they worked collaboratively and brainstormed how and what to use for their pictures/video. My students at my new assignment will benefit as they integrate all academic areas such as writing text on pictures, creating posters and uploading pictures!
