Help me give my students a sensory table in order to provide them with a multi sensory approach to learning. I have found that the population of children I serve are more motivated by this approach.

My Project

I love my students because each one is so different from the other. I serve special needs children that thrive when using a multi sensory approach to learning. I have seen my kids engage more when I am using sand, play dough or other means of their senses when learning to write letters, number or just working on the fine motor skills that lead to these school tasks.

A sensory table is a crucial tool for special needs school children as it provides them with a hands-on, interactive experience that stimulates their senses and promotes sensory exploration.

For children with sensory processing disorders, a sensory table offers a safe and controlled environment where they can engage with various materials such as sand, water, rice or beans allowing to regulate their sensory input and develop important sensory integration skills. It will enhance the learning opportunities and support the diverse needs of students, fostering holistic development and positive educational experience.
