This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach a group of creative enthusiastic students who work hard to put out a professional yearbook and newspaper. They are inspiring and want to see their work in the best light possible.

Although many of our students receive, free and reduced lunch, they come to school eager to learn and find outlets for their creativity.

Our school strives to provide them with rigorous learning opportunities, as well as opportunities to learn real-world skills.

I hope you will support this project to improve their photography skills.

My Project

I have a small group of students who work very hard to produce a professional yearbook. They often spend weeks putting together photo essays for the book. We keep our prices for our book down so that students can afford them. That means we have very little extra to spend on equipment for the class.

Professional lights and backdrops will increase the quality of these projects immensely and help the students on their journey to learn professional photography skills.

My goal is to provide them with everything they need to gain the experience of being true professional photographers. They have earned this opportunity through their creativity and hard work.
