One of the important skills that high school journalists learn is how to tell a story through pictures. Our equipment does not let them fully explore how to take strong photos from a distance, especially sports photography. A new lens will allow them to learn more about acton photography and applying different settings -- skills they will need if they explore photojournalism as a career. Our students work hard fund-raising and selling ads to fund our yearbook, but we need that money to break even and keep the yearbook at a reasonable cost for our students, many of whom come from low-income homes. Therefore, it is hard to buy new equipment. Thank you for your support.
