My Project

My high school art students are creative, curious individuals who thrive when they can learn through hands-on, interactive experiences. In the art room, they are given meaningful opportunities to explore their ideas, develop technical skills, and express who they are as individuals. Each project is designed to allow for student choice and personal voice, giving every learner a chance to shine in a way that feels authentic to them. My goal is to continue fostering an environment where creativity is valued and students feel confident sharing their unique perspectives.

I want my students to create meaningful artwork and expand their creative process by introducing alternative methods of investigation, including video and digital storytelling.

I also want them to be able to document and share their talents with the school community and beyond. Providing opportunities for students to showcase their work helps build confidence, communication skills, and a sense of pride in what they create.

A camera and tripod will open the door to exciting new possibilities in our classroom. Students will be able to explore digital photography, video production, animation, and mixed media projects while also documenting their artistic growth. These tools will empower them to create content, reflect on their work, and consider their roles as artists in a digital world. By integrating technology into our hands-on art curriculum, students will gain valuable skills that extend beyond the classroom and prepare them for future creative opportunities.
