My Students

I teach Technology Education/ STEM classes. I have students from all parts of Pittsburgh. Every student has a chance to take this class. Each class has about thirty students in them. During my lunch, we film the morning announcements which are published on YouTube daily. We have a painted green screen painted on the wall in an old storage room. This class is mostly project-based and allows all students to be creative and learn many cool graphic skills. My goal is to show students all parts of media to spark interests in careers. Our equipment is very outdated and old, if we have it.

My Project

My students are looking to spice up their videos and productions. They enjoy having fun with our morning announcements and thought it would be awesome to incorporate wigs and masks into the announcements. Our announcements have become a large part of our school. The plexiglass will be used to create props and signage for the video suite. They will be designing the signage in Adobe software's such as photoshop and illustrator. They will then cut the signage on the laser engraver. The signage will be under-lit using the LED lights.
